Gaza City — Irada program is pleased to announce the start of accepting applications to participate in “People with Disability Job Access Empowerment” project.
This new project is funded by Human Appeal International, UK, and is implemented by Irada Program on behalf of the Islamic University of Gaza’s Deanship of Community Service and Continuous Education.
The “People with Disability Job Access Empowerment” project will train participants in a variety of fields: Carpentry, furniture upholstery and painting, manual wood engraving and burning, bookbinding, gift decoration, and aluminum productions.
Applications are accepted from visually or physically disabled or hearing-impaired individuals whose age must be between 18-45 years. Also, participation eligibility requires that applicants not be currently employed in the private sector or elsewhere, and that they have a combination of ability and desire for committed, effective participation through the rehabilitation and training project.
The deadline to receive applications from eligible individuals is March 5th, 2015.
Imad Almassri, the Irada program manager, has stated that many applications have already been submitted. “These applications will be assessed by specialists,” Almassri said. “We want to ensure that the most eligible applicants are selected.”
