The Omani Initiative Visits Irada Program

Gaza city — Mr. Mohammed Al-Farra, the chairman of the board of the Omani initiative, praised Irada’s achievements in the rehabilitation and vocational training of disable individuals. His praise came during his visit to Irada where he was welcomed by Mr. Ali Al-Nazli, Irada chairman of the board, Mr. Emad Al-Masri, the director, and Miss. Manal Hasna, the deputy director.

Al-Masri briefed Al-Farra on the goals and achievements of the Irada Program, from which 700 people with disabilities benefited through receiving training in various academic and vocational professions. In addition, it created employment opportinties to a large number of them, sometimes with chances for them to begin small projects.

According to a trace study, Irada’s impact on its graduates is remarkable. Roughly 53% of these report still being in their jobs after finishing their first year of work.

Al-Masri highlighted the fact that Irada provides invaluable training to orphans and to all disadvantaged groups which may otherwise become even less likely to be recruited for employment.

During the visit, Mr. Al-Nazli and Mr. Al-Masri stated the novel project ideas Irada intends to implement soon. Mr. Al-Farra expressed his admiration of the idea of supporting people with disabilities and the impact left by Irada. He also encouraged the ideas of the new project.

Al-Farra finally emphasized the necessity of cooperating with Irada from his side in order to keep program going in its assistance of disable individuals.

At the end of the visit, visitors were taken into tour of Irada vocational workshops and the exhbition.
