Gaza city — The Palestinian Council for National Empowerment President and deputy in the Palestinian legislative council, Mr. Ashraf Gomaa visited Irada Program for Rehabilitation and Vocational Training which serves people with disabilities.

Mr. Gomaa’s visit was welcomed by Mr. Ali Alnazli, chairman of the board, and Mr. Emad Al-Masri, program manager, and Miss. Manal Hasna, deputy manager of the program.

Al-Masri briefed Gomaa on the steps of launching Irada program in 2012, and on the goals and achievements of the program thus far. Also, Al-Masri talked about the 700 people with disabilities who benefited from the program through receiving training in several academic and vocational areas. In addition, he highlighted the program’s employment of a number of the graduates and its financial support of small projects of some trainees.

Mr. Gomaa admired the idea of Irada program as well as the impacts left on the participants in terms of rehabilitation, training and empowerment, which help them better integrate into the society.
