Gaza City – A delegation from the German development agency GIZ visited Irada program on Thursday. Led by Alexander Hopkina, the GIZ disability program manager, and Nizar Al-Wazir, GIZ representative in Gaza, the delegation expressed appreciation of Irada’s work.
Welcoming visitors was Manal Hasna, program deputy manager for fundraising and public relations.
“Since its inception, Irada has benefited 700 people with disability who received training in a variety of academic and vocational fields,” Hasna said while introducing the goals and major achievements of Irada. “The program has also facilitated the employment of many while also financing the private business of others. Currently, 120 people are benefiting from training projects funded by international organizations.”
Hasna also briefed the visiting delegation on the quality of products made by beneficiaries. “We have new plans to advance our work and benefit PwD’s more,” Hasna said.
The delegation praised the achievements of Irada as they were touring the facilities, training spaces and product exhibitions.
