A high-level Malaysian delegation visits IRADA program

Gaza city — A high-level Malaysian delegation visited IRADA program. The delegation headed by the Malaysian ambassador to Egypt and Palestine Dato Ku Jaafar, and the General Manager of Mercy Malysia organization Mr. Nour Azzam. Also the delegation accompanied with the Head of Coordinating Humanitarian Affairs Office at the Islamic Organization Cooperation in the Gaza Strip Mr. Mohamed Hasna, in addition to the representative of Mercy Malysia in Gaza strip Mrs. Enas Qandeel.

Welcoming visitors was the acting director Mr. Amro Abu Al Qumbz, and the director deputy for fundraising & public relations Miss. Manal Hasna.

Hasna briefed the visiting delegation on the idea of Irada program, which started in 2012 in order to contribute in integration people with disability and activating their role in the Palestinian community. Hasna talked about the projects implemented with generous funding from international and national donors.  Hasna mentioned that more than 800 people with disability were trained, and 500 one were employed, in addition to equipping several workshops for group of them. Irada interventions contribute in turning them to productive individuals.

 Finally, the delegation had a tour in the training workshops and products showroom. The delegation praised the achievements, and the success of irada program, wishing the continuity of the program to provide their important work for people with disability.
