Gaza city — The Turkish ambassador to Palestine Mr. Gorjan Turkoglu visited IRADA program. The ambassador was accompanied with the representative of Tika in Gaza strip Mr. Mohammed Mortaja. Welcoming visitors was the acting director Mr. Amro Abu Al Qumbz, and the director deputy for fundraising & public relations Miss. Manal Hasna.
Hasna introduced IRADA program, which established before 5 years with generous funding from the Turkish government, and implemented with Tika supervision. Through the project, a vocational training center was built and eight vocational training workshop were equipped. In addition to training and employment 400 of people with disability. The project had a positive impact on the graduates, and contributed in integrating them in the Palestinian community.
During the visit, the ambassador had a tour in the training workshops and products showroom where the products of people with disability are marketed. Hasna mention the importance of the showroom in presenting the high productivity of the craftspeople with disability, and the revenue support the financial sustainability of the program.
The ambassador expressed his happiness, praised IRADA achievements in training and employment people with disability, and congratulated the IRADA team on the program success.
